ALICE IN WONDERLAND TRAILER at Empire

CLICK HERE for the wondrous trailer for Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's latest at Empire Online. I'm a little ambivalent. It looks gorgeous but where's the heart? Tim Burton is a director who loses his way very often see Planet of the Apes. His team ups with Johnny Depp can be great (Edwards Scissorhands, Sweeney Tood) or good looking but a little empty inside (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sleepy Hollow.) It seems their at their best when Tim allows Johnny to play with knives in the movie, maybe he should do some reshoots with Depp handling some haberdasher's shears.
